学情分析

我所任教学班是一个英语学习水平一般的班,两极分化严重,部分学生英语基础很差,学习英语兴趣不浓,但多数同学都能努力学生英语

一、教材分析
  
  本单元主要是以谈论过去的发明创造为主线,围绕一般过去时的被动语态展开教学的。通过谈论几项重要发明的历史及用途,开拓学生的思路,培养学生创造精神,并学会运用一般过去时的被动语态。本节课的教学内容为sectionA 1a至Grammar Focus.结构分Groupwork,Listening,Pairwork,Grammar Focus四部分,一课时完成。
  
  二、设计思路
  
  1.提倡自主学习,积极主动地参与学习。教师课前布置任务,学生通过上网、查书籍等方式查找古今中外发明创造的相关材料。
  2.重视课堂实践。将丰富的教学资料融于交际活动,使学生乐于参与,主动思考,提高语言表达能力,具体方法是根据教材内容设计多种课堂活动方式吸引学生参与,使他们成为课堂的主人,从而达到教学目的。
  3.将合作探究的方法应用于语法的学习,从初步接触一般过去时被动语态形式到运用交际对话来演练这种结构的句型,再到由学生合作探究,通过观察、发现、讨论和探究,进而总结出一般过去时的被动语态的构成,构建出自己的知识体系。
  
  三、教学目标
  
  1.知识与技能:
  (1)掌握词汇及其用法;
  (2)学会谈论重要发明的历史及用途;
  (3)学习一般过去时的被动语态;
  (4)提高学生听力水平和语言交际能力。
  2.情感态度与价值观:
  (1)通过我国古代的四大发明这些成就教育学生热爱祖国,并能为我国的悠久历史感到自豪;
  (2)培养学生的创造精神,鼓励学生立志成为一名发明家。
  
  四、教学重、难点
  
  1.教学重点:
  (1)一般过去时的被动语态,包括它的构成及用法;
  (2)熟练掌握本课所学的句型结构。
  2.教学难点:
  (1)掌握本课听力内容;
  (2)运用所学句型结构来谈论重要发明的历史及用途。
  
  五、教学过程
  
  1.Step1.Lead in
  T: Dear children,we all know,in the morden world there are many useful inventions in our life.You have found some information about them,let’s play a game,I say some information about the inventions and you please tell me what they are,OK?”
  设计说明:游戏会立刻引起学生的兴趣,利用教师的描述来猜出某项发明创造,既练习了学生的听力、反应速度,又引出了本课的部分词汇,为新课的导入做了铺垫。
  2.Step2.Groupwork (Activity 1a.)
  (1)T: Students,Have you finished your homework about the useful inventions? OK,very good!Now let’s see some pictures of the inventions. You can talk about them according to the following questions: What’s the most useful invention?Who invented it?When was it invented?What is it used for?Why do you think it is the most useful invention?
  (2)Check the results of the discussion.Ask one or two students to talk about their own opinions.The teacher points something out.
  设计说明:由猜谜游戏过渡到教学内容sectionA—1a,通过布置这个小组活动,既检查了学生的作业完成情况,又锻炼了口语交际能力。在讨论中,每个人都可以从以上几方面来谈论自己感兴趣的发明创造,利用1a中所提供的交际用语,初步使用了一般过去时的被动语态形式。
  3.Step3.Listening practice (Activity 1b.)
  (1)T: Please look at the picture,this is Alice and this is her grandma,they are talking about when the things above were invented. Now listen to the tape and match the inventions with the dates in your books.
  (2)Play the recorder,then ask one student to say his answer.
  设计说明:对话中的艾丽斯是个与学生年龄相仿的小女孩,她对于现代生活中的一些非常熟悉的用品究竟是何时发明的并不完全了解,这一点与学生的经历相似,因此通过图片展示及情境说明会使学生产生强烈的好奇心,急于想了解到这几种用品的发明时间。通过听力训练,既提高了学生的听力水平,又增长了他们的课外知识。
  4.Step4.Pairwork (Activity 1c.)
  Show the conversation in 1c on the big screen. Give students two tasks:
  (1)T: Students,look at the conversation,A and B are talking about when the things were invented. Do you know the answers?Now please work in pairs,practice the conversation.
  (2)By practicing the conversations, students can use the target language to make conversations fluently. S o havestudents work in groups to observe, discuss , find and summarize the structure of the passive voice of the past indefinite tense.At last they can grasp the important points in this class.
  设计说明:通过结对练习对话,学生已经能够熟练运用本节课的目标语言,掌握了一般过去时被动语态的表达方法,提高了交际水平。学生之间讨论、探究进而得出结论,既掌握了语法又提高了自主学习的能力。
  
  5.Step5.Listening practice (Activity 2a, 2b.)
  Show the pictures in 2a and 2b on the big screen,they will attract students’attention. The students will be attracted deeply and want to know when the inventions were invented.At this time,teacher show another drill: What is it used for?It’s used for...
  (1)T:Do you know what the strange things are?What are they used for? Who were they invented by?Now let’s listen to the conversation,then you can know the answer.
   (2)Have students listen to the conversation and complete the task in 2a and 2b.
  (3)Check the answers.
  设计说明:利用学生的好奇心理将图片展示出来,用神秘而又富有启发性的语言来激起学生的求知欲,从而使他们积极而又认真地去听录音。
  6.Step6.Pairwork (Activity 2c.)
  By using the target language “What are they used for?They are used for...”to practice conversations.
  设计说明:运用交际语言“What are they used for?They are used for...”进行对话练习,使学生进一步掌握句型结构,突破了本节课的教学难点。
  7.Step7.Grammar Focus
  (1)Have students read and translate the sentences.
  (2)Stress the structure and using ways of the passive voice of the past indefinite tense.
  设计说明:教师通过概括一般过去时被动语态的构成及用法,使学生由感性认识上升到理性认识。
  8.Step8.Summarize
  Summarize the important points in this lesson.
  设计说明:进一步强化本节课的重点内容,让学生来归纳小结,培养其归纳能力和自主学习能力。
  9.Step9. Design the group activity
  (Give a chance to students to practice and understand further about the target language and grammar.)
  T:List several inventions in our classroom orin your home,then discuss in groups to talk about the inventions. Fill the chart below:

  10.Step10.Homework
  Look up some information after school. To know about the history of the four great inventions in our country. Be proud of the long history. Choose one invention from them and introduce it by writing a composition. Ask students to use the language structure in this class.
